MARCHING TO GET SCREWED?? WOW!! AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
The other day I was almost in tears over what I considered the totally obscene march of a few thousand Americans in our nation’s capital. Marching with guns – why would you have a gun if the march was a Freedom March? Who are you going to shoot? Who are you trying to scare? Acting like ignorant Hill Billie’s. Signs depicting our president as a Hitler, or worse, I was and still am ashamed, ashamed that these people call themselves Americans and ashamed that those stupid people are expressing grossly stupid, ignorant, unintelligent, uneducated views – and had to be viewed by the entire world. The world seeing our shame. I would like to scream to the world that they are not seeing real Americans, just a fringe of nuts.
Being so upset I wrote a page expressing my frustration, my total disgust – that it was really the first time in my long 80 years of existence on this earth that I was ashamed of the actions of Americans, no matter how few – and because of that feeling shame of being an American.
That page “Am I the only one!” seemed to hit a sore spot in some. Lots of phone calls agreeing with me, one old friend disagreeing with me, several wrote comments in my BLOG, others sent me e-mails at my home site. For those of you that may not use the BLOG I believe you should read those comments. There are also copies of letters from others not in the BLOG, I am including the letters below. Those for or critical of my thoughts and feelings.
I truly do not think that this is political to the extent of our two party system of government – Democrats and Republicans. Those marching to me – were not Republicans, as stated I know many Republicans, we have been friends, not withstanding our opposite politics, for a lifetime, so this in my mind transacts this. I am trying to follow doctor’s instructions here and not, I repeat NOT get into an argument with them or anyone else related to the rights and wrongs of either party. Yes, both parties have much blame to share in the situation our nation is in.
I have left names off of these messages below as they were sent to me and it is not my object to show their names, their messages are good enough. I also received a number of phone calls, likely the one that motivated this letter I am writing now – was from an old and dear girl friend from my high school days. A second love of mine for over a half century, the phone calls were all positive also expressing their disgust related to the so called Freedom March.
First, let me go back a bit and in my mind try and figure out what this is all about. There is a word I shall use quite a bit trying to figure out this so called Freedom March concept, it may be offensive to a few of our ladies but – sorry – I can’t really figure out another word to truly describe what has happed to the average American citizen the past few years. The word is – “Screwed” – no – I am not talking about word ‘screwed’ as in a screw to hold something together I am talking about the worst interpretations of this word. How the average citizen has been royally screwed the past years. Keep that word fixed in your mind as we have been totally screwed, if not sexually violated, we have been violated in every other manner.
I do not call this march in Washington a Freedom March I call it a march to enjoy the freedom of being screwed. I have read that some people actually enjoy being whipped, beat up, whatever – that somehow this stimulates them sexually. They actually enjoy the pain, the whipping they are getting, they get their kicks from this. Seems to me that there is a fringe group of our people that are like that – they love being beat up, they love being screwed. Crazy – but it is true! I do not truly want to call em Republicans as I have far too much respect and love for friends of mine that are Republicans. So in my mind there is a Republican Party, a Democrat Party, and a Nut Party, maybe you can figure out a better word than nut to describe the party, maybe something with a bit more class, although I certainly do not think their actions are classy in any way – for me they are a party of nuts, can’t think of another word. Let me explain –
MARCHING TO BE SCREWED!
So let us go back a few years, let us get some order in this, put it in a short story form.
Once upon a time, about eight and a half years ago we elected a new president, he was from a historically rich family, an oilman, rubbed elbows with rich folks and enjoyed their respect and received millions in contributions to get him elected. No big deal it is just the American system, the American way.
Our new president immediately sends Bills to congress, one after the other – ALL are tax relief for the rich, the ‘trickle down’ theory of making the rich far richer and that “maybe” a few dollars will slip down to the poor and middle class of our people. Never works – but it is nice if you are among the wealthy three percent of our nation’s people. This does not include me, just throwing that in here so you know which side I am on.
We start a war, oil goes to over $4 a gallon, YES $4.00 AND MORE PER GALLON – under this new administration years will go by where the oil company’s executives are given millions in bonuses, huge massive salaries and even with all that – the companies HAVE to show profits yearly in the “BILLIONS” upon billions of dollars.
No one was watching this segment of our industry – no oversight to the rape of our people. Where did the money come from? IT CAME FROM the pockets of the average American citizen – Mr. & Mrs. America got screwed royally!
Then medical companies, the pharmaceutical companies started raising their fees, their prices, costs are going sky high we were told. YET – their profits were sky high, again after rewarding their executives and employees with huge bonus rewards, the rape of our citizens continued.
No one was watching this segment of our industry – no oversight to the rape of our people. Where did the money come from? IT CAME FROM the pockets of the average American citizen – Mr. & Mrs. America got screwed royally!
Wall Street, wild investments are dreamed up, packaged as safe investments and sold to retirement plans, to innocent investors. Wall Street in the mean time is rewarding their executives, their employees, brokers with Billions, as in “B” of dollars in bonus rewards. All of a sudden the huge investment bubbles start to explode. To save our nation we must bail out these investment firms or face a recession that could be worse than the 1929 recession. Millions of Americans have lost their entire retirement savings, millions – almost ten percent of our work force have lot their jobs, their families face horrible conditions, demeaning conditions for the greed of a few so many will suffer. Why?

So after eight years a new guy gets elected to run our nation. He looks around and sees what has happened the past eight years. Wow, that is awful he thinks, – what should we do? – so he thinks all this happened because there was no one watching these industries, no one making sure that our people are not hurt by these industries, so he thinks “We gotta fix that.” He decides he will appoint some managers to watch these guys, he will make sure they do not screw his people again. He appoints managers for each of those industries, the managers have to report to him, their job is to make sure the industry they are to oversee does not screw his people again. Someone calls them, the managers – “Czars” a stupid name but that is what they get stuck with. These so called Czars are there to protect the averaging American from being screwed again and again by these titans of industry that live off the blood of their fellow citizens, or so it seems.
NOW THINK ABOUT THIS – Our nation is still in the toilet, billions have been stolen in flaunting the laws, sneaking around them, a few percent of our rich have become obscenely so. The Average American is on his knees, his savings destroyed, over 50 million of our people cannot afford health care for themselves, their children and or other loved ones. Folks will soon be running out of unemployment insurance, so what do they do? Starve? The nation is a mess. The new guy in Washington, our president is trying to help, trying to prop up our industries, our banks, trying to get a health plan so all are insured and can at least go to a hospital or see a doctor without going broke or worse, a health plan so or industry can compete with the industry of other nations. This guy, our new president in Washington has some of his boys, his managers watching these industries that have SCREWED US SILLY the past eight years. Now to a normal American this should seem to make a lot of sense, they would applaud someone watching over them, watching out for their interests.
BUT NO! – OUR “NUT PARTY” – decides to have a march on Washington, they call it a ‘Patriot March’ – reason? YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS!
They do not want more government – they want LESS government! They do not want someone, a Czar, a manager watching out for their best interests. They want smaller government – they want it left alone, no matter that their smaller government of the past eight years created such havoc and hardship for our people. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT – THEY WANT IT LEFT ALONE SO THEY CAN BE SCREWED AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN – ARE THEY NUTS OR WHAT? Am I wrong in comparing these to the sexual deviates that love pain, love to be whipped to get their sexual kicks? Has to be – anyone that will march, and want a return to the past years of being screwed, losing their life savings, losing their jobs, their respect — AND THE PAIN OF ALL THAT – THEY HAVE TO BE A NEW PARTY – A PARTY OF NUTS.
ONE LAST POINT – I would like to have each of you realize one of the major points related to having our nation adopt a National Health Single Payer plan, or a plan that is completive – has nothing to do with keeping our people healthy – at least on a par with other nations. The major benefit of adopting this plan would be financial. EVERY nation, every industrialized nation on the face of this earth HAS a national health plan. By our adopting one, taking the burden of health care off the shoulders of our nation’s industry will let our industries complete cost wise with all those other nations. It will help our nation return to wealth, it will help us sell more of our products to the world, it will lift a burden of billions of dollars from our industry and bring prosperity back to our nation. That alone is one heck of a good reason to be for a Single Payer Health Plan, or something near to it, at least one where our industry and businesses are relieved of this heavy burden. THINK ABOUT THAT!
Now to the letters – the BLOG letters – all of the phone calls I got were positive, agreed with me and my shame at watching Americans march in a cause as despicable as that.
BLOG LETTER ONE
- Dear Uncle Fred,
If you are referring to is the Patriots March on Washington… I am ashamed of YOU!
These people were protesting big government control of everything.
The Bail-outs were un American.
Czars are Un American.
Taking over industries is UN American.
There were Democrats at the rally… and Black People Too.
You need to wake the hell up and turn off MSNBC. Those idiots wouldn’t know a real grass roots movement if they were in it.
LETTER TWO
Well, you just verified what I was afraid was true. I had heard about all those protests and what those involved had brought and said at the rallies. I did not want to find any of them on a television program so I did not go in search of any TV footage. But as you proved, unfortunately it is true.
But, maybe in the long run it is better to show that on television. What better way to push people away from a particular narrow selfish viewpoint and teach people what can happen when we stand back and do and say nothing! The crazies take over!
Remember that more people voted in the last election than in many previous elections. If everyone speaks up, we will be heard! That means… write letters, send emails, sign petitions, and call your local representative. You don’t have to be super intelligent doing the above. They just need to know your view. They are interested in whether you are pro or con on an issue. You may even receive a letter back acknowledging your call, email or letter. I have received them in the past!
Hmmm… Maybe California can secede from the rest of the US.
FROM BOLG – LETTER THREE
Years ago, the Democrats allowed the far-left, hate America College professor/Hollywood types a place at their table, and did not do enough to distance themselves from that vocal minorities appalling comments. The vast majority of Democrats ARE NOT like Ward Churchill, yet our country punished the Democratic Party with defeat after defeat for that ill considered association. Now the situation is reversed. The new Democratic Party and leadership have shown the nut-case America-is always wrong set the door. The Republicans have now invited the fringe hate America, hate blacks, and hate that evil U.S. government crowd into their tent. The Republicans will rue the day they ever allowed these fringe idiots to speak for them. My prediction is, the Republicans will suffer mightily-at least as badly as the Democrats, and for at least as long-for letting these folks lead their parade. The fact is, most of us, including me, love our country even with our faults, and we don’t need anyone-Right or Left-to tell us how awful it is. At any given time there is a line out the door at our embassies of folks who want desperately to come here and make a new life. I used to say to the far left, and now I will say to the far right-go trade places with one of these families that want so badly to come live in America. I will help you pack!!
LETTER FOUR
I don’t blame you one bit Uncle Fred for being ashamed. I too am the same and appalled. Thank freedom works and Glen Beck among others that spread lies, hatred, and racism and bear false witness as if it were some kind of game. If this keeps going on I fear that something real bad is going to happen. Republicans don’t seem to want to stop it they just want to fan the flames like it’s not their concern. If something bad happens they will not take any of the blame either.
LETTER FIVE
Fred, et al. Just thought I’d put in my two cents worth.
I have to agree with you guy’s on some points, and disagree on others.
If you will remember about a year and a half ago, (before the Election), I said by electing a black man President we would have a unique opportunity to right several wrongs that have plagued our Nation for far too long.
Depending on his ability to correct the magnitude of the mess we are in, he could influence many persons in this Country that have for far too many years, gone along to get along.
It’s a bit too early to start singing “Hosannas” in his honor, but I would like to remind everyone that just nine months ago, the Dow sat at about 6,000 plus, and it is now pushing 10,000. Businesses of all types were failing and it was being predicted that this could be another “Big Depression”.
He has (for the most part), re installed good relations with our European Allies, and has several plans to get this Country moving again in the correct direction, and with a little help from our Congress just might get us a long overdue National Health coverage.
Ironically the “Demonstrators” (many of them armed), were showing signs proclaiming that they wanted their “Freedoms back”.
Let’s see! They had the freedom to travel across State lines to reach Washington. They had the rights to assemble (peacefully) in the Nations Capital to air their grievances. They even had the rights to parade with placards that plainly repeated lies about the present Administration, Which by the way were supposed to be hand printed by their carriers, but looked suspiciously like mass produced products.
So what Freedoms had they lost?
Mainly the “Protesters” were the core Republican (rubber stamp) mostly Southern Conservative Racist’s that have been around since the Civil War.
Yes Virginia, there are that many of them. They just haven’t been as vocal as they used to be, and stopped wearing white sheets. (But don’t ever think you won’t see them again).
Never think you should not look at these individuals, it’s always good to see the enemy and recognize him for what he is.
Many Americans have believed that the prejudices of before the Second World War had been largely eliminated, (not so) just lying dormant like a sleeping Volcano.
The President may be able to win new converts by being what he seems to be. That is, sincere, able, competent and willing.
Don’t give up on our less informed friends, just stay alert, and above all… Do your own thinking!

When you cant win a debate with facts… call everyone a racist…
Nevermind that several of the speakers at the event were black… and I have seen not one report of anyone with guns at the event…
Seriously, if any one of you have any actual first hand experience at a tea party speak now.
If you dont, then wake up to the reality that you have no idea about which you speak.

Debate?? Did you debate me?? I see nothing but put downs.
You offer NOT ONE FACT, you are not debating, you are not discussing issues – I beg you to look up the word “DEBATE” in the Dictionary and learn what it means.
You are right on the guns, there were no guns at the parade, THERE WERE GUNS AT A TOWN HALL MEETING TO DISCUSS HEALTH CARE – why there should be guns at a peaceful meeting to discuss a national issue so important – THAT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO ANSWER.
Next time if you wish a debate, first find out how to do so, present your side, all of your facts why something should or not be done. Define what is good for our nation’s people, ALL OF THE PEOPLE not just a radical tiny gun todding group that has no idea what the word debate means.
So send another message, call me some more names, but debate, never will see that from you folks, not sure your brain cells are up to it. Please surprise me – PLEASE!

THIS IS ANOTHER WORD BESIDES ‘DEBATE’ THAT YOU NEED TO LOOK UP IN THE DDICTIONARY – AND LEARN TO DO PROPERLY. WHERE IN THE HELL DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL? DID YOU?

I do not give a shit who was toting a gun at a peaceful town hall meeting, who’s side they were on, it was a part of the NUT PARTY, be he white, black, purple, yellow, green or from outer space.
