At first reading, what is printed here, sounds (for the most part), logical, and reasonable.

However, some of the phrases seem to hit a discordant note that may be missed by reading too fast, or with a bit less attention than the document deserves.

Naturally, I must agree with much of what they say. As far as I’m concerned, it is indisputable that our people are being, (and have been for quite some time), pointed in a direction of less awareness of what is going on around them and more interest in “entertainment”, such as it might be. (Which isn’t saying much).

Our Government isn’t operating businesses (till just recently), because that is not their function. Unfortunately they haven’t been regulating businesses either. This allows various Company’s to (over price it’s product, cut corners in the materials they use, and after naming one price, increase that cost, to an uncontrolled amount ) to make an even greater profit.

People all over the world have been envious of our way of life (though because of the successes made in this Country by our unique ways of doing things, not understanding why).

The why is simple. Our folks have, (till recently) always thought for them selves, solved their own problems (for the most part), and shared thoughts and experiences with each other, thus improving ways to do things, and keeping improvement always in a state of flux moving towards a better and more efficient way of life.

The “Dumbing Down” of America is a real and dangerous threat to our way of life, and indeed to our Country itself. That’s why it’s so important to put a screeching halt to this trend, and get things back on our unique type track.

I find it interesting that Miz Weiss gives her O.K. to build Bridges, Pave Roads, Maintain a Military, but leave her alone. I wonder who she expects to pay for these necessary projects?

As far as the Government to stay out of the Woman’s choice to have an abortion, I imagine they can do that when others stop breaking the law, by blowing up Clinics, and murdering Doctors, and Nurses, that are asked to perform these operations. 

During my (Working years), a part of my wages was put away each Month to go toward paying for my retirement years. This was certainly not “Free”. These money’s were held and controlled by an independent Financial company, and were fully Vested, and could not be used by any other entity.

I also paid into the Social Security  System, and am now getting checks from both Union and Government, and it suits me quite well. Oh! And I also get a good Health care plan. 

A National Health care plan can work, if Politicians and Health care workers don’t get too greedy, and CPAs don’t get too exotic in their book keeping.

I do find it rather strange that people like Pam Geller, et al. can, and do, in the same article refer to President Obama as a left wing bleeding heart Liberal yet later try to convince us that he is Adolph Hitler incarnate. Um! I doubt Hitler was a Liberal, (in any sense of the word).

The other night while channel surfing, trying to find a program to watch that was not gaged to a mind fitting somewhere between six and ten years of age, I happened to catch some Political discussion program that supposedly was there to inform the general public about current events.

The main sides to this (discussion), were a (seemingly) Democratic Moderator, and a couple of Republican Congressmen. 

The subject was National health care. It was difficult to discern who was saying what, (at least for awhile), as all were doing more yelling than talking.

However the main gist of the “debate” was the cost of implementing it, (with Taxes), or cutting costs on some other project. 

The Republicans said it would cost too much, and would provide less coverage than we have now.

The Moderator said in would serve the needs of the Nation as a whole, and had been put off far too long in getting a start.

Oh!  By the way. It was mentioned that this was President Obama’s plan, and he didn’t have the medical expertise to make such a plan.

Um! I doubt there are a whole lot of Congressmen/Women, that are  medically trained as well.

But that’s still not what caught my attention. What did was, after (perhaps) twenty minutes, of discussion, one of the Congressmen said this was a Democratic plan, and not Bi-Partisan.

The Moderator asked did the Republicans have an alternative plan that might be integrated with the Democratic plan. The answer, No!

Then one of the Congressmen, (I doubt intentionally said), The Presidents plan would actually cost less than it does now, but not as much less as they (Republicans) would like.

By now (after an hour) they have been arguing that the cost was too high, now they say it just wasn’t as low as they would like. 

Are they smoking strange cigarettes in Washington these days?

Hey! If these guy’s worked for me, I’d fire them. Hey wait! They do work for me, or so I’ve been told. Unfortunately I can only have a hand in “Firing” one or two of these clowns every two, four, or six years. PITY!

It would appear that the Republicans want a fully functional Medical plan without flaws, and or difugalities that might cause problems of any sort, from the “Getgo”. Lots of luck!

Can you imagine The Wright Brothers inventing a Jet aircraft that could fly at forty thousand feet, at about 700 knots, and carry three hundred passengers?

Things just don’t work that way. 

Technology, inventions, improvements, appear at their own pace, and unless you are wiling to take a chance, or start from scratch, on most any endeavor, you just might find yourselves (not progressing at all), as we are apparently doing now.

Come on Folks! This side of the World was discovered by a guy with an idea, and not just a few guts, and yes Herb,  they were paid for with someone else’s money, but better that than dumping it in the great hole of “Interest”.

One other bit of current news I saw, (I rather imagine you did too), was about that Harvard Professor who was accosted by Police entering his own home, and the ensuing stupid, (make that extremely stupid) exchange of conversation that then took place.

I personally believe that the inane heeby jeeby”s, must have been in full control of all the minds of the people concerned at that particular moment.

I can’t conceive of a moment when, if I were told to show my Identification to an armed and identified Policeman, that I would hesitate to do so. I can’t imagine why he might want me to do such a thing, but arguing with a man with a loaded gun, is not my way of asserting myself.

I, of course, did not hear any of the dialog between the Cops and the Professor, so can’t comment on what may have been said and by whom, so while I would have done what I was told, and when I was told, there may have been extenuating circumstances, that may have, (for whatever reason), made adults act like fools. Which is what they did, as far as I’m concerned.

Hey fans! 20 of the past 28 years our nation has been in the control of the Republicans. They made a “Contract” with America, that they “Faulted” on. They said “read my lips, no new taxes”, then taxed the hell out of us. They started an illegal war which will cost us mucho money for the next (undetermined) number of years.

They began a plan of spying on American citizens, and torturing “suspects” in any crimes they termed as being a threat against this Country, though were not about to bring these terrorist “suspects” to the U.S.

President Obama has been in office seven months, the Dow is climbing, Business is starting to level off. plans for a healthier safer nation are in effect, things are getting done, not perhaps as fast as we would want, but Hey! were headed in the right direction. (At Last). DLM.
