WHO’S OIL! – OURS – GOING WHERE? DALE’S LOGIC!

By fred | September 27, 2008

A few letters from BLOG members you just gotta read.  Can’t beat ‘Full gale Dale’s’ logic!  Another little jewel pushed through congress is the drilling of oil on our beautiful coastal areas.

The rape of our nation continues.  It is like the wolfs cannot get enough – knowing they will likely be thrown out they are going to make sure there is nothing left for us when they leave.  Getting approval to rape our coast of oil is only one tiny deal, then forcing us to completely deplete our treasury of 700 billion dollars – money we would have to BORROW from other nations to bail out the greedy CEO’s that got us into this mess.  Wow!  I feel sorry for Obama, I would not want to inherit the mess the empty treasure chest that was America before Bush and his co-horts took over.  Think of all that money, what good it could have done – all lost in less than eight years!

FULL GALE DALE

Guy’s and Gals: I think I’ve alluded before to the old humorist,

Will Rogers, saying, “All I know is what I read in the Papers”!

Nowadays, of course, there are more media outlets than that, however, these, I read in Yesterdays News Paper.

The “House of Representatives”, yielding to (so called, “Popular pressure”), have decided to allow the moratorium on off shore drilling, to lapse. (This means, of course, that new drilling rigs will be soon set up in these waters to begin extracting our oil from these locations.), Or does it?

In another part of the same paper, there is a picture of a prefabricated drilling rig being towed from San Francisco Bay, to the open sea, to be erected on our California Coast.  So what’s wrong with this picture?

The “rig” was built by and for, the Shell Oil Company, A fully owned, (by the Royal Dutch Oil Company),foreign oil interest.

Now! We have been told that our, U.S. Oil companies, do not have the capacity to handle any more oil production, and as there are no new refineries being projected, nor enlarged, what good is this going to do us?

I suspect, that it’s just possible, that this oil will be shipped to refineries in other Countries for that refinement, then they might make it available to us, at, of course, the same, or even greater prices than we are paying now! How in the World is this going to help us out “at the pump”?… AND IT”S OUR OIL!..Terrific!

Do you really think all this “Propaganda Hype” being put out by the Republicans are really in our best interests?

In another article in the same Paper, it was reported that, Christian Pastors, in 22 States, have vowed to inform their members, this Sunday, (from the pulpit), just whom they should vote for, in the up coming National Election.

It’s assumed by their previous indications that these (candidates), should be Republican.

This means, of course, that in one action on their part, they will have over ruled the U.S. Constitution’s rule of Separation of Church and State, and have tried to force a single Religion on our people.  It would be my hope that any, and all, Religious sects joining in this, obvious “Power Play”, should from this time forward, have their “Tax Exempt” status revoked and not renewed until, and unless, they re- establish their time honored role as religious advisors, and not Political Hacks.

I’m reasonably sure that this bit of information will be disputed by someone out there, but all I have to say about that is, “read your papers”!  Dale

NOW A FEW COMMENTS FROM ‘MARK’ A VERY DISCUSTED FORMER LIFETIME REPUBLICAN THAT IS NOW AN ARDENT DEMOCRAT – Read on–

Comment:

Why should the Government pay ANYTHING for these banks? If they wait a few more days, they will have to take them over anyway,so why pay a dime?

This is just a blatant, brazen attempt to give those CEO fatcat bastards one last huge payday. Those bank assets are worth nothing,or pennies on the dollar, and that’s just what uncle sam should pay for them.

I want criminal investigations and 20 year prison sentances for the banksters whose bad judgement and outrageous, arrogant greed brought us to this.

Remember the great movie It’s a wonderful life?Remember when uncle Billy loses the money and the building and loan needs help?Well, this bailout is like Mr.Potter losing his money, and now he wants all the townspeople to come over and dump out their piggy banks!!!!

Uncle Fred and every other Democrat in America, you were right and I was stupidly wrong.Never again.OBAMA 08!!!!Mark.

FROM YET ANOTHER LADY IN ALASKA- YES – MRS. PALIN’S HOME STATE – Read on —–

Alaska  Women Reject Palin rally was to be held outside on the lawn in front of the Loussac Library in midtown  Anchorage . Home made signs were encouraged, and the idea was to make a statement that Sarah Palin does not speak for all Alaskawomen, or men. I had no idea what to expect.

The rally was organized by a small group of women, talking over coffee. It made me wonder what other things have started with small groups of women talking over coffee. It’s probably an impressive list.

These women hatched the plan, printed up flyers, posted them around town, and sent notices to local media outlets. One of those media outlets was KBYR radio, home of Eddie Burke, a long-time uber-conservativeAnchorage talk show host. Turns out that Eddie Burke not only announced the rally, but called the people who planned to attend the rally ‘a bunch of socialist baby-killing maggots,’ and read the home phone numbers of the organizers aloud over the air, urging listeners to call and tell them what they thought. The women, of course, received some nasty, harassing and threatening messages.

I felt a bit apprehensive. I’d been disappointed before by the turnout at other rallies. Basically, in  Anchorage , if you can get 25 people to show up at an event, it’s a success. So, I thought to myself, if we can actually get 100 people there that aren’t sent by Eddie Burke, we’ll be doing good. A real statement will have been made. I confess, I still had a mental image of 15 demonstrators surrounded by hundreds of menacing ‘socialist baby-killing maggot’ haters.

It’s a good thing I wasn’t tailgating when I saw the crowd in front of the library or I would have ended up in somebody’s trunk. When I got there, about 20 minutes early, the line of sign wavers stretched the full length of the library grounds, along the edge of the road, 6 or 7 people deep! I could hardly find a place to park. I nabbed one of the last spots in the library lot, and as I got out of the car and started walking, people seemed to join in from every direction, carrying signs.

Never, have I seen anything like it in my 17 and a half years living in Anchorage. The organizers had someone walk the rally with a counter, and they clicked off well over 1400 people (not including the 90 counter-demonstrators). This was the biggest political rally ever, in the history of the state. I was absolutely stunned. The second most amazing thing is how many people honked and gave the thumbs up as they drove by. And even those that didn’t honk looked wide-eyed and awe-struck at the huge crowd that was growing by the minute. This just doesn’t happen here.

Then, the infamous Eddie Burke showed up. He tried to talk to the media, and was instantly surrounded by a group of 20 people who started shouting O-BA-MA so loud he couldn’t be heard. Then passing cars started honking in a rhythmic pattern of 3, like the Obama chant, while the crowd cheered, hooted and waved their signs high.

So, if you’ve been doing the math Yes. The  Alaska  Women Reject Palin rally was significantly bigger than Palin’s rally that got all the national media coverage!  Anyone who needs to know that Sarah Palin most definitely does not speak for all Alaskans. The citizens of  Alaska , who know her best, have things to say.

YOU KNOW – MAYBE – JUST MAYBE – WE ARE NOT A NATION OF WHIMPS AFTER ALL!  LOVE IT WHEN AMERICANS GET THEIR DANDER UP!

Uncle Fred

One Response to “WHO’S OIL! – OURS – GOING WHERE? DALE’S LOGIC!”

The Republicans are finished this year. Though a registered Republican for years… theres no way am I voting for McCain and Palin.. I’m not alone either.. every time I turn around, another “former Republican voter” speaks of disgust at what Repubs now represent. The remaining faithful aren’t talking much this year. However a new type of Republican may rise from the ashes.. Ron Paul is a prime example..
