I work with these folks on a daily basis.Most are here legally,all want to be here legally.They are good people.Their work ethic is unbelievable.They obey the law.they go to church. The fathers are loyal to their wives and children.They insist that their children attend school,study hard,behave.They dream of owning nice homes and their own businesses.They dream of sending their kids to college.They work two jobs,show up early and leave late.They pay their taxes.They are absolutely NOT a burden on us.In fact these folks are a lot like the Italians,Irish,Jews,Russians,Germans and Vietnamese that came here at different times and built the greatest nation on earth from the ground up.All our grandparents had to listen to the same crap.We don’t want those lazy micks/wops/kikes/krauts/gyppos/gooks in our country looking for handouts.Well,they weren’t looking for handouts,then or now.The lazy stay behind,the ambitious come.And in 2 generations,their kids are scientists,authors,army officers.How are we planning to fix the worker/retiree imbalance if we don’t let these folks in legally,to work and pay taxes?Unless Americans are planning on having 10 kids again,or living much shorter lives,we had damn well better let them in.We win.The countries they left lose.Mark.
