MY LAST WORD ON THE SUBJECT!

Dear Friends and Family,
Since the election is almost here, just a bit over a week away, I swear on a stack of Bibles that this will be my last message related to that subject.
That this election has been down and dirty is a given. Lies thrown out with no relation to the truth by both sides seem to be the present mode. However I think most of you will agree if this election is won on filth, lies being tossed out about the other side the Republicans will win hands down. They certainly are the victors in the mud slinging and lies department, maybe it is because they have so much more experience and practice doing so, just a guess!
A few that have really pissed me off is that Obama is a Moslem, that he is a terrorist, those two are the most outrageous lies known yet we have many racist, uneducated, stupid people in this United States that believe it. During this election campaign I have had a least a hundred of these sent to me by friends. I have begged folks to go to truth.org and look up what is truth and what is not, but folks continue to ignore that advice and if some right wing fanatic sends them something they believe it.
I remember my Dad correcting my very innocent Mom about this, and I remember her saying, “But Andrew why would they write it if it wasn’t true?” Mom figured in her innocence those many years ago, that if you wrote something on paper it was true, –poor Mom, in this day and age she would be going crazy.
My Dad always disliked the United States having only two parties, Democrats and Republicans. This came up when McCarthy had his big hearings to rut out the Communist Party in American, made such a big deal out of a few folks being Communists. Dad could not understand that. I believe he said at that time there were 16 parties in Denmark, lets see if I can remember what he said, at least a few were; Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, Liberals, Socialists, Communists, Green, Social Democrats, and many others.
My Danish American Father said the Communist had a few percent of the people; some parties had ten or 20 percent of the people. What had to be done in most elections was that all the parties with the most votes had to get together, give and take and figure out a new government. Each government had a bit of all in it, nobody, no party got to ruin the country completely, every party had a bit of it.
O. K. you can kick Denmark in the ass if you like. Yes, it is a tiny nation now of only what? A guess –seven or eight million people. But let us see what those people by all their parties have accomplished.
One buddy, a Republican said they are so highly taxed. True! However, the people of Denmark are and have been proven by every standard and pole to be the HAPPIEST nation of people on the face of this earth.
So why would they be so happy? Maybe because the government guarantees you always have a home an apartment a nice place to live, food to eat, – if you are a housewife and your husband beats you up, you can take your children and walk out and the government will provide a home for you and your children.
You never have to worry about a medical bill, an operation destroying your life savings that is provided free. When you retire from work and cannot provide for yourself you can go to an old folks home that is truly wonderful, good meals, good care and it does not cost three of four thousand a month like in this country. Years ago I visited one of my Father’s sisters in one of these homes she loved it; it was a lovely place to retire. All get the same.
So why wouldn’t you be a happy Dane? Yes, you are taxed high – but you do not have to save for medical bills, your kids get free education to the highest level if they are able, so you do not have to save for that, you get all the medical treatment free so you do not have to save for that. You do not have to save for retirement if you don’t want to travel or spend money other than your basic needs that is automatic. So– the money you have left from taxes is yours to spend and enjoy. You have no fears for the basic wants of life.
Some say that the people get lazy if all that is provided. Not true, look it up! Denmark, the working Danes are one of the most productive nation of people on the face of this earth. A fact! Why? My guess is that they spend more time doing their jobs right, thinking about their work, because they do not have to worry about anything else.
I got off a bit, but back to the good old U. S. of A. We have only two parties, the Republicans and the Democrats. Now I for one, and likely a lot of folks will agree with me, we are not that happy with either party.
But let’s get to basics. Pretend that here are two guys, Joe Republican and Jack Democrat; you and I have known both of these guys for the past seventy or eighty years. Both want our vote. So add up what we know of them.
JOE REPUBLICAN
Says he is a basic religious guy, keeps throwing that in my face. He got us into deep crap trouble back in 1929, the worst depression in history and it took Jack Democrat (Roosevelt) to get us out of it. There were several other recessions not as bad as that depression in the last fifty years when Joe was running the show and Jack had to come in and clean up his act again and again.
Eight years ago Jack Democrat was running the show and had balanced the budget, I was a bit pissed at Jack for having sex with a consenting adult in the White House, did not think that was nice but he sure ran the country great. Also I have noted that when Jack was in the White House Wall Street stocks were up, gained at least 5% more per year than any time Joe Republican was running the show.
The last eight years Joe has really pissed me off, Joe Republican has lied to me constantly. A lot of folks in this world have died because of his lies. My savings are worth half, money I worked my ass off for all my life now during his eight years he has destroyed my savings, exactly to half their prior worth.
I also note our national treasury is broke; all the money we spend is being borrowed from other nations like China, Japan, etc. I note that Joe has our nation so far in debt that it will be generations before we can come out of it. Just the last few months it has come out that because he lifted safety regulations on banks and investment securities that banks and the worth of our stocks, bonds, you name it will likely be in bankruptcy. What in the hell is Joe thinking?? We trusted him to watch over all this stuff. Claims he is such a good Christian man, yet he is screwing us silly.
Then I read that there are not millions but billions of dollars not accounted for, just evaporated into thin air, stolen, lost, gone, no accounting for our money, just gone into thin air or the bank accounts of some of his rich buddies more likely. I elected Joe Republican to protect me, to protect my money, to protect my kids, my home. To my way of thinking old Joe needs to be put out to pasture, the sooner the better.
JACK DEMOCRAT
Jack hasn’t been running things for some time. Yes, he got the majority in the House two years ago but not enough to override a veto by Joe Republican so he hasn’t had the power to do anything significant.
The last time Jack was running things he balanced the budget, my savings were super, my dollars value in the world was tops. I could travel the world with my dollar and get huge values. Gas was a couple bucks a gallon, food prices were low. The stock market was doing a super job. Yes, I was pissed that Joe got caught with his pants open but other than that life was good.
Also thinking back, we have always had to have Jack Democrat clean up the messes that Joe made. I also got to think about who started all the programs that has made my life easier. Social Security, Medicare, 40 hour work week, Overtime, minimum wage, Environmental programs, I could not think of any programs for the poor or middle class that Joe Republican provide for us.
Joe Republican wants to maintain and give more tax brakes for the folks making over $250,000. Been doing it for years – giving more and more breaks of billions of dollars to big corporations and three percent of our nation’s people, seems a bit one sided to me. Problem is there are only a couple percent of us real rich folks making all that money – 97% of us don’t qualify for all those tax breaks. I figure if I am making $250,000.00 I can afford to pay a few dollars extra in taxes, how about tax breaks for the middle class and poor? They need em – not the rich guys. Joe Republican seems to have his priorities wrong.
CONCLUSION
I am so pissed at Joe, Joe Republican has screwed me silly, he has lied to me, and he has played on my fears, talking like he is the only one that can protect our nation. Seems to me during the big war, World War ll, Jack (Roosevelt) Democrat did just fine. Fighting a war in Asia, Europe, Africa, all over the world one fact is that he never spent half what Joe Republican has in these tiny wars/occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Imagine, spending more in occupying these two nations costing so much more than fighting Germany, Italy and Japan in the biggest war of our time – Joe Republican has to have wasted billions of our dollars.
To me – it is no contest, I want nothing to do with Joe anymore, and Joe Republican has to clean up his act, get some respect for the poor and middle class that are the foundation of our great nation before I will ever vote for Joe again. He can go straight to hell as far as I am concerned. I will vote for everybody with a ‘D’ next to their name. Maybe in eight of so years Joe will clean out his party and understand that we the average American, not the 3% of the richest in our nation count. Until than I want him out and I want all that are Joe Republicans out!
To my way of thinking we have no choice, a guy or gal has to have a screw loose in his or her head to vote for Joe Republican again in this election – I may not be the brightest light bulb on this planet but I did not have to be –to come to this decision.
Vote for whom ever you wish – just remember, you and your kids and their kids are going to have to pay and pay and pay if you vote for old Joe again.

Uncle Fred-Obama and Jack Democrat are days away from a stunning landslide.It is going to be huge.My wife’s brothers are all lifelong 100% republicans.They are all really nice guys,and come up every UW Badger home football game-we live about 2 blocks from the UW football stadium.They have been joshing me about switching sides and putting Obama signs in our windows.They came to town today and I said,o.k. guys,get it over with,give me a hard time about Obama.They all got Quiet and serious.Bill said,after the campaign Mcain has run,I’m switching sides,too.Tim said,Mcain looked so bad in the debates,and lost my respect with this Bill Ayers thing.I coudn’t believe what I was hearing.I have known these guys for 24 years and have talked politics with them more times than I can remember.Basically,the republican party is emptying out as all of us with a brain and a conscience say,that’s it.It ends here.The blatant slandering of a good and decent man is more than my brothers -in -law ,who are good and decent men,could bear.THe once great republican party will not recover from this in decades.The market will come back.America will come back,Obama will govern wisely,and one entity will come back very,very slowly,if ever.Mark.
