A subject that needs to be discussed! Uncle Fred

I do not like to become involved with discussions of race or religion if at all possible. I have found over the 79 years of my life that a bigot is a bigot; you can talk yourself blue in the face and not get through to folks like that – so why try?
I thank God that I went to a high school like Los Angeles Polytechnic High School in the very center of downtown Los Angeles. A school with a diverse student body. Of the 2,300 or so students we had every race under the sun represented.
If you went to Poly High you soon learned that the black guy or gal, or the Chinese guy or gal, or the Jewish guy or gal, the Irish guy or gal – or the Armenian guy or gal and so on and so forth were just as smart, if not smarter than you. You found that they could be better athletes than you, etc.
In sports we had to work together to win, especially in football, their blood was just a red as mine, their bones broke like mine, their ankles got sprained, swelled up like mine – they wanted to win as much as I did or maybe more. Probably the reason that many of this diverse group of students and athletics and I have remained friends for over sixty years. Many of us communicate almost daily via this wondrous machine called a computer and the Internet.
I only wish every child in America or the world could have had the experience I had in going to such a school and learning the lessons of tolerant for others.
I am building up to some facts you must read at the end of my shooting off my mouth. A friend of my elder years sent these to me; it is about the Jews, folks of the Jewish faith. Roy, my buddy that sent it to me is not Jewish, so he has no bone to pick; he is sending facts that are true, based on history.
I cannot understand why the Jews are so hated by many bigots, just does not make sense. Many of my father’s very closest friends were Jewish, including some big names in entertainment like Victor Borge, Jean Hershel, and Laurence Melcher (spelling of names not perfect). You will eventually read about Victor in a chapter of ‘Everybody’s Danish.’
In my elder years I have a buddy from high school; I thank God that he is still alive, as I will shed tears if he goes first. He is of the Jewish faith; he is without a doubt one of the best friends I ever had. Loyal, giving, faithful, devoted, a man you can trust with your life, I will not mention his name as that would embarrass him.
During my lifetime of business I would prefer to deal with a Jewish broker than say a fellow Dane or whatever. Why? O. K., I’ll tell you! You have an import wholesale business like I had. You are a small outfit with a couple trucks, and only six salesmen, money is not in great supply so you try and buy only products that will move out of the warehouse fast as you need turnover. An item that only moves out twice a year hurts your profits, you need turnover. However buying foodstuffs from Europe, wines and beers from around the world is an imperfect art. Mistakes can be made. So – say a broker takes your order for a few hundred cases of a food or wine or whatever, it is a marginal item you are not sure of the market for the product whatever it is.
It is slow, lets use the trade term, “It is a dog!” So you have a few hundred cases in your warehouse, you have six salesmen and if they sell a case or two a week that is all, you are in trouble. When you mention this to some food or beverage brokers you may never see them for months. Why? They are hiding out; don’t want you telling them what a dog they sold you.
However, most of the Jewish brokers, if they lived and worked in the Southern California would not hide out. When traveling around town they would help sell the product, drop in markets, buying offices, spend ‘THEIR’ time selling a case here and there to get the product out of my warehouse. They acted as an extra salesman on my staff.
So eventually the ‘dog’ product would finally be sold. Now if you are a good businessman, a guy like I was running a business and you are buying, who would you prefer to buy from? Some guy that if the product did not sell would hide out, not call on you until he figured the dog he sold you finally was sold out or would you want to buy from the guy that worked with you helped you out of a bad decision in buying.
If you wanted to stay in business long you would welcome the guys that worked with you, struggled with you to sell the bad item and the good.
I would often take a chance’ on a product from one of these brokers, knowing if that decision was wrong they would help me out in getting rid of it. Several names that will not mean anything to you but just because they were those kind of guys, guys I purchased thousands upon thousands of dollars of their lines were Ralph Levi and his son Mark, and Eric Preiss, these were the best of the best in my opinion. In business and in life I always considered them my close friends and rewarded them with all the business I could give them.
Recently, all of you know that last year I had a heart operation. It was one of those difficult things to detect. I was told by my heart surgeon Dr. Begin that the reason it was difficult was that I had an athletes heart blood vessels. Very large – except in a few spots.
I had a few black outs, scary as hell, but they could come from a lot of things I find out. I took all the heart stress tests, the thread mill, the one I call the ‘iron lung’ etc. No sign of blockage. If it was not for the questions asked by my very astute electronics heart doctor, Dr. Lowy, they would never have scheduled the operation (forget what they call it) where they send a tube from a vein in your leg to your heart and explore. They found a 95 % blockage in one vein. I could have just walked down the street the next day and died if these two doctors had not first found it and second fixed it with iron stints, bubbles, etc.
If it matters, but just to tell you,– both I now consider good buddies, and yes are both are of the Jewish faith.
The Jews in my life have enriched it, helped me to prosper, made my life fun, and have saved my life. Why they as a group have been so hated over the centuries is crazy, they have enriched this earth with their wisdom and their knowledge. O. K. there may be an ass or a S O B here and there that is Jewish, but I can name ten S O B’s in my life that were not Jewish.

The Jews are NOT promoting brain washing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non Muslims!
The Jews don’t hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. There is NOT one single Jew that has destroyed a church. There is NOT a single Jew that protests by killing people.

Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems.
Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they demand that humankind respects them!!
Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel ‘s part, the following two sentences really say it all:
